Campaigns Organizer
Sara joined Grassroots Collaborative as campaigns organizer in 2022. As a campaigns organizer and political educator, Sara coordinates our popular education programming and collaborates with our members’ staff and leaders on multiple citywide campaigns, including the People’s Unity Platform, Bring Chicago Home, Treatment not Trauma, and the IL Green New Deal.
Prior to joining GC, Sara organized immigrant families in the Southeast Side community where she grew up and helped found the Midwest Immigration Bond Fund (MIBF).
Sara’s favorite part of the job is helping individuals connect their lived experiences to a broader understanding of local and global politics.
