Santera is a queer, mixed Indigenous (Keweenaw Bay Anishinaabe) organizer dedicated to housing justice with a focus on racial, environmental, and labor equity as the IL Green New Deal Coalition Coordinator. In addition to their work with the coalition, their activism includes supporting those criminalized for self-defense, facilitating restorative and transformative justice processes, as well as organizing alongside LGBTQ incarcerated individuals with Black and Pink.
