Sarah has a passion for accessible media that gets people engaged in structural, economic & social change. While studying Radio, Television & Film at Northwestern University, Sarah focused on experimental short-form pieces that explored subjects like political resistance and memory. They also began their journey in campaign communications in college while leading programs for youth interested in digital media and social justice. This journey has led them to combine media and liberation work within youth programming, student organizing spaces, as well as city-wide organizations like BYP 100 and the #NoCopAcademy campaign. In their work, whether that be in filmmaking or community organizing, they seek to create media and communications content that inspires people to believe in a world that has addressed systematic oppression and injustice.
